I
ntending to build a clear channel of exchange between China and the world, Ameson prepares Chinese students for undergraduate study in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. These include 1-year language foundation courses, 1-year accounting courses, and a 3-year US high school program.

The intention of all of our programs is the same: to prepare Chinese students to pursue undergraduate degrees at top-ranked schools in the US, UK, Europe, and Oceania.

1-year Foundation courses

At present, Ameson offers four different programs designed to linguistically prepare students for study overseas using four different major languages:
  • TOEFL: for Chinese students wanting to pursue an undergraduate degree in the United States, they must first take a TOEFL test, a mandatory requirement of most US universities. A perfect score is 120. Top-tier schools such as Harvard and Stanford require between 100-110. Second-tier schools, such as Loyola, require a score of at least 87.
  • IELTS: for Chinese students wanting to pursue an undergraduate degree in Europe or Oceania, they must first take an IELTS test, a mandatory requirement of most universities in the region. A perfect score is 9. Top-tier schools such as the University of Cambridge require at least a 6.5 score, while second-tier schools like the University of Warwick will accept a minimum of 5.
  • CILS: for Chinese students wanting to pursue an undergraduate degree in Italy, they must first take a CILS test. Held twice every year in June and December (at the Università per Stranieri di Siena and at other institutions abroad), the certificate is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each of the five sections is worth 20 points, and in each section it is necessary to score at least 11 points. The highest total score possible is 100 points, and the lowest passing score is 55 points. Candidates must obtain at least the minimum score in each section to be awarded the CILS.
  • DELE: for Chinese students wanting to pursue an undergraduate degree in either Spain or Argentina, DELE is the de facto linguistic accreditation. DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. The Instituto Cervantes is the institution in charge of organising the exams, while the University of Salamanca is in charge of the preparation, correction and final evaluation of all the tests.

American High School Program

Ameson's flagship American High School Program has been designed to help contribute towards building a clear channel through which elite Chinese students can pursue a world-class education overseas, particularly in the US.

The longest duration for the program is 3 years. The 3-year program was designed for Senior 1 high school students (the equivalent of US grade 10) who have decided they do not wish to prepare for the GAOKAO exam (manadatory for students applying to Chinese universities) but instead prepare for undergraduate study in the United States.

Typically, these courses are for 40 hours per week, and utilize a combination of Chinese and foreign expert teachers, whose lessons are guided by College Board-approved syllabi.
