Ameson Institute students admitted to U.S. universities

everal students at the Ameson Institute in Nanjing have been admitted to U.S. universities through Early Decision.

Wang Tianwei -- Education, Vanderbilt University

Tianwei is from Nanjing No. 1 Middle School, one of the most prestigious high school in the city of Nanjing. Always being independent, she has had a clear plan for her career since her senior 1 year. Though she has been busy doing a regular senior high school curriculum, she still makes time for the AP courses.

In addition, she demonstrated in her application her views of education studies in a globalized world. “I have been interested in culture exchange and communication since I was very young. Doing education studies also helps to disseminate Chinese culture to the U.S.. I want to teach Mandarin in the future and I listed outlines of how to achieve that in my application.” Tianwei says.

Speaking of Ameson, Tianwei particularly wants to thank Professor Sean Zhang, who provides advice for the application, her tutor Enda, Vivian and Dee, who helped her improve English speaking, and polished her writing abilities.

Having worked really hard toward her dream, she is known by her teachers as a “workaholic”. However, besides studying, Tianwei’s hobbies include gardening, playing American pool, playing piano, reading novels and photography. Now she is ready to embrace a whole new world while studying abroad.

Yao Yuan -- Biomedical Engineering, Case Western Reserve University

Yuan is from Jiangyin Nanjing High School, he took AP physics during his Senior 2 year and now he is taking 5 AP courses at Ameson Institute for his final year of senior high school. He is particularly keen on learning English. Every day he spends 3 hours on English learning. His excellent academic performance in high school and solid grasp of English has paid off. Now he has been admitted at several leading U.S. universities.

Zhang Rongzhen -- Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Rongzhen is also from Jiangyin Nanjing High School. She is taking 6 AP courses at the Ameson Institute’s Nanjing school. She believes that the AP courses she takes helped her in being admitted to Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
