n less than two weeks, 14 students will go to the U.S. as the first group to participate in the SAYA program. While in the U.S., the students will give presentations sharing various aspects of life and culture in China.From presentations about food to martial arts to daily life as a student, the Chinese students are excited about going to the U.S., attending an American high school for a week and sharing a little of China with their new friends. Students said they are nervous about the upcoming trip to the U.S., but they are all excited for the opportunity to learn and live with American students.
To help prepare the students for the trip to the U.S., Ameson teachers Yang Wu, Sean Gao and Mary Katherine Smith traveled to Nanjing Senior High School in Jiangyin and Yangzhou Senior High School in Yangzhou, both in Jiangsu Province, to give feedback on their presentations and answer questions about going to and studying in the U.S..
