About the school: As a boarding senior high school that moves in Lakeshore New District with a whole organizational system, Anhui Provincial Hefei No 1 High School is located in the region between Changsha Road and Dongting Lake Road, to the east of Yulong Road, and on the north bank of Tangxi River, with a total acreage of 323 mu and building area of 166,000 m2.

In September 2007, the school was formally opened for students. With a design capacity of 7000 persons, the school consists of 6 six-storied teaching buildings, 2 five-storied office and experiment buildings, 7 fifteen-storied dormitory buildings, one three-storied dining hall, one six-storied administration and book building, one comprehensive service building, gymnasiums, and halls. The school is divided into two districts by Xizang Road which are linked with each other by the downtraversing passage.
